Dress # 18 - Ella Cabella ;)

I know, I know... it has been a long hiatus. I am back... with another dress. This one was for my sweet niece Ella Mae (whom I have not seen since she was born!!! SAD FACE). Anyway, it's silky slinky fabric which I stumbled upon at Jo Anne's in the remnants section. I instantly fell in love!
Thanks to her Momma for the pictures. :)


Ruffles on the bottom and a simple tie at the top, perfect for summer weather.
Don't expect too many new dresses from me all at once. I have two boys now, and am so busy making boy things, my little dresses have taken a back burner. Luckily there are friends out there having girls, so I can always make dresses for others! :)

I made this dress for my new niece Ella. I am pretty sure it is my favorite dress so far. I just love the fabrics, so girly - and the pattern actually turned out really good! It is a pattern I designed, of course. Hope it looks as cute on!

Holly Hobbie vintage fabric



This is one dress I have decided to keep for myself. Some day I will have a girl, maybe some day in six months... but this dress I made from some vintage Holly Hobbie fabric my mom gave me, so it's special. There are matching booties, and the dress would fit anywhere from newborn to maybe 2-3 years. My favorite. :)

This dress would be so cute on a little new born baby. If a baby ever needed to attend a prom, this would be a good wardrobe choice. ;)

Ooo la la, I'm loving the fabric for this dress. And, if you didn't notice - lots and lots of ruffles, or more accurately, pleats.

This is one of my favorite dresses so far. It might be because of the fabric, but I also love the pattern I created for this dress... for a younger girl, I would tighten up the sleeves a little so the neck line sits higher. Such beautiful fabric. :)

This has been a popular dress for the Easter/ Spring season. I have gotten a few custom orders based on this design. It is made out of some fabric from my mom's stash. She has been cleaning out her sewing room and has been donating to my cause. My cause: being the crazy dress maker I am.

Dress #1...
In an attempt to make as many new dress designs as I can this year, I have decided to showcase them on this blog to create a collection. This dress is sleeveless, lined and slips easily over big baby heads. :) The size will fit 6 months - 18 months... depending on the measurement of the baby. Can be worn short to the knees, or long to the ankles. It is also fairly roomy, not tight fitting.
